Status Notifications

 

Status notifications will automatically send an email with instructions to the next person in the process. On both classic and block editors, status notifications can be set in a drop-down menu listed in the “Publish” box.

 

To initiate a status notification follow the instructions below. 


Step 1)

 

Select the status needed from the “Publish” box. 

 

 

 


Step 2)

 

Confirm the status by clicking “OK” 

 

 


Step 3)

 

“Save as” and the next person in the process will be automatically notified via email!

 

 


Status Notifications


Pitch

Propose an idea/article to an Editor by switching the”publish” box status to “pitch.” This will automatically send an email notification to the editor that new content is being purposed. Add any relevant ideas, images, links, or content to the post to be reviewed. 


Assigned

Assign an article to an author by selecting the “Authors” box and specifying the author. Change the status to “Assigned” and the author will be notified via email that new content has been designated for them. 


In Progress

To confirm acceptance of an article assignment, simply click the “In Progress” status and the Editor will be automatically notified via email that the assignment has been accepted. 


Draft

Once a first draft has been completed and is ready for review, select the “Draft” notification and the Editor will be automatically notified that a 1st Draft has been submitted, and is ready to be edited.


Pending Review

Once the content is ready to be reviewed by the publishers, switch the status to “pending review” and the publishers will automatically receive an email notification that the content is ready to be reviewed. 


Ready For Upload

When content is ready for the digital team to design and upload to the website, select the “ready to upload” option and the digital team will be notified content is ready to be optimized and published. 


To easily sort content by status…

Step 1) Click Planner on the right sidebar
Step 2) Go to the Content Overview
Step 3) Sort by Status, Author, or Post Date Range
Step 4) Hit “filter” to search
Step 5) Filter by the appropriate column (Click Post Date for the most recent)
